If you're a MEICA or Water Commissioning Manager/Lead, Senior Project Manager/Framework Manager with a commissioning background, or a Senior MEICA engineer ready to step up — this could be exactly what you're looking for.

What really matters to you in your next role?

  • More control over how commissioning is actually delivered?

  • Involvement from design stage, not just brought in to “fix” at the end?

  • A leadership role where your MEICA expertise is respected and backed?

  • Career progression within a secure Tier 1 water framework?

MEICA Commissioning Manager – Water Infrastructure (AMP8 Framework)
📍 Dorset / Wessex Region
💰 £75,000 – £85,000 + Car/Allowance + Other Benefits + Long-Term Programme

The Opportunity

We’re representing a top-tier infrastructure contractor delivering water and wastewater projects as part of a long-term capital investment programme in the South West. As part of AMP8 mobilisation, they’re seeking a MEICA Framework Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning activity across multiple clean and wastewater schemes.

You’ll shape the commissioning process from early design input through to final takeover — working closely with in-house delivery teams, specialist subcontractors, and client-side asset operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading MEICA commissioning across multiple infrastructure sites

  • Developing commissioning strategies and detailed test plans

  • Coordinating FATs, SATs, site testing, snagging, and handover

  • Ensuring full integration with existing plant and client operations

  • Managing documentation, QA records, and compliance sign-off

  • Acting as or supporting APE responsibilities under Electrical Safety Rules

  • Providing input into design reviews and supporting continuous improvement

  • Mentoring junior engineers and building commissioning capability across the team

What We’re Looking For

  • Commissioning Manager, Project Manager or MEICA Lead with relevant water industry experience

  • Strong background in mechanical, electrical or ICA systems

  • Familiar with WIMES, BS7671, and commissioning protocols in the utilities sector

  • Skilled in stakeholder management across design, delivery, and client teams

  • Proven ability to lead multi-site commissioning programmes to a high standard

Requirements

  • HNC/HND or above in a relevant engineering discipline

  • 18th Edition (BS7671) – Required

  • CSCS or ECS card

  • EUSR National Water Hygiene

  • SMSTS or SSSTS

  • COMPEX and PROFIBUS (desirable but not essential)
