The Opportunity
We’re representing a top-tier infrastructure contractor delivering water and wastewater projects as part of a long-term capital investment programme in the South West. As part of AMP8 mobilisation, they’re seeking a MEICA Framework Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning activity across multiple clean and wastewater schemes.
You’ll shape the commissioning process from early design input through to final takeover — working closely with in-house delivery teams, specialist subcontractors, and client-side asset operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading MEICA commissioning across multiple infrastructure sites
Developing commissioning strategies and detailed test plans
Coordinating FATs, SATs, site testing, snagging, and handover
Ensuring full integration with existing plant and client operations
Managing documentation, QA records, and compliance sign-off
Acting as or supporting APE responsibilities under Electrical Safety Rules
Providing input into design reviews and supporting continuous improvement
Mentoring junior engineers and building commissioning capability across the team
What We’re Looking For
Commissioning Manager, Project Manager or MEICA Lead with relevant water industry experience
Strong background in mechanical, electrical or ICA systems
Familiar with WIMES, BS7671, and commissioning protocols in the utilities sector
Skilled in stakeholder management across design, delivery, and client teams
Proven ability to lead multi-site commissioning programmes to a high standard
Requirements
HNC/HND or above in a relevant engineering discipline
18th Edition (BS7671) – Required
CSCS or ECS card
EUSR National Water Hygiene
SMSTS or SSSTS
COMPEX and PROFIBUS (desirable but not essential)
